Collection Based Dynamic Website Design for a Music Production House.
Dimension Music is a music production house that needed a digital platform to showcase its catalog. The goal was to create a sleek, modern website that would serve as a central hub for listeners to discover new tracks and easily access them on their favorite streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Wynk Music. As part of a larger agency team, my role was to design the key UI components (music cards) that would form the core of this project.

The primary objective for the Dimension Music website was to design a compelling digital stage for their music catalog, built to engage modern listeners. The goal was to move beyond a simple online archive and create an active discovery engine. This platform needed to establish Dimension Music's brand as a high-quality production house, while seamlessly funneling listeners to streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music to directly drive plays and grow their audience.
The primary challenge was to create a user interface that was not just a static list of songs, but an engaging experience. We needed to solve two key problems:
➙ For the User: How can we help listeners quickly browse a diverse music catalog, get a feel for a song, and listen to it on their preferred platform with minimal friction?
➙ For the Business: How can we effectively drive traffic to streaming platforms to increase plays and artist visibility, while reinforcing the professional, high-quality brand image of Dimension Music?
The solution hinged on creating a highly effective and intuitive music card—the main point of interaction for every user visiting the site.
Our approach was rooted in a user-centered design philosophy. We focused on creating a clean, intuitive interface that streamlined the music discovery process. By developing a cohesive and scalable design system, we ensured the user journey was seamless, guiding listeners effortlessly from exploring the catalog on the website to engaging with the music on their preferred streaming platforms.
My core contribution to the project was designing the music cards, which proved to be a fantastic learning experience. I focused on creating a clean, visually engaging component in Figma that balanced essential track information with a clear, interactive path to streaming platforms via a hover effect. This process dealt with component-based design, visual hierarchy, and the importance of creating intuitive user interactions within a collaborative agency environment.
I used Figma's prototyping tools to connect the default and hover states. This simple prototype was essential for communicating the intended interaction to the rest of the team and the client. It clearly demonstrated how a user would discover the streaming links, which was the core of the project's goal.
